Amanda Howland – Creator

Amanda is a genius at spreading creativity. She has done it through many avenues in her life… modern/african/fun dance, throwing parties, making food and most recently as a creator of all things comfy with her handmade accessories. She loves the internal process of dreaming something up and then bringing it to fruition, but says that the best part of the process is in sharing and bringing people together through that creativity. She loves supporting people to feel balanced, comfortable, and confident.
Amanda creates comfortable and lovely accessories out of yarn, recycled bicycle tubes and whatever else sparks her fancy.

She says, “I am a trained dancer. I have worked as a movement teacher, personal chef, organizer, party hostess, and now accessories maker. They all seem, at first glance, unrelated. However I find that the there is a through line in that I am always working from my Gut and creating an energy for people to grasp and experience. I like to feel that I create a space or feeling that people can “come home to“. Hehe, I am that favorite old chair you just love sitting in to read.”
She works from a place of simplicity, which is reflected in all of her work, and enjoys things that feel centered and balanced without a lot extra frill thrown on top.
Amanda cites her friends and community as the influences for her genius creations saying, ” I have really surrounded myself with people who are committed to growth through play and creativity. I try to bring that into any of the work that I do whether it is into my accessories shop, through the food I create, or the organizing and design work I do for others.”
