Johanna is a Professional Dog Trainer specializing in Positive Reinforcement (Reward-Based) training. She is committed to empowering owners to establish a loving and positive relationship with their dogs. Her joyful presence allows her to communicate easily with both people and dogs.  As a result, she helps owners create the house dog of their dreams.

Johanna began dog training in 1989, showing her Shetland Sheepdog mix and Border Collie mix in obedience in showmanship with 4-H. In 2001, at Ohio Wesleyan University, she received her Bachelors in Psychology concentrating on animal learning.  She also minored in Zoology and Theater. After training numerous exotic animals in educational shows at three public zoos, she became a professional dog trainer in 2004.

Johanna loves watching the dog and the owner “get it” as she teaches from empowerment, convenience, and love. She creates the training to be as fun and easy as possible. When working with Johanna her intent is that you feel empowered to train your dog(s) independently and that you feel a communication with your dog that is motivated from love and not fear.

Obedience Group Courses: Puppy Kindergarten Elementary Obedience Each week she covers a different topic.  This allows people to join immediately even after the program has started as long as space allows. Prices 1 Class = $35 4 Classes = $80 8 Classes = $112

Tutoring One-on-one help through individual sessions to suite your schedule. These can be arranged to address. Prices 1-7 Classes = $65 an hour 8 or More Classes Paid in Full = $60 an hour

Study Hall Having trouble finding time to train?  Johanna can train your dog and then teach you how to produce the same results. Prices 1-7 Classes = $65 an hour 8 or More Classes Paid in Full = $60 an hour

Community Events Walks and Hikes for Socializing and Training Tips = Free Classes usually last an hour with Training Tips = $5-10 **Note: Prices are always subject to change.
