Kimberly Leary – Childhood Development
Kimberly’s passion is creating a culture that supports free thinking and open space for the unfolding of children. She cultivates this culture through educating her community in the philosophies of anthroposophy, creating study groups, reading and reviewing materials with well known authors and editors of various philosophies and being the model of what she is bringing to fruition, which is a Waldorf School in Salt Lake City.
“My genius is providing loving space for people to unfold.”
Niche: Childhood Development
Kimberly’s dream is to bring a Waldorf School to Salt Lake City and the project is in the beginning stages of development. Kimberly is currently offering study groups and educational opportunities. Over the next two years she anticipates that the Waldorf Study Group will grow and transition into a play group, which will in turn make space and create a firm culture and foundation to open a pre-school. Each year there after, she plans to add one grade up to the twelfth grade. She anticipates that it will take approximately 3-5 years for the school to open.

It is her intention that people feel love when they are with her; she comes to each interaction in open space, with non-judgment and abundant love. To her, the most exciting aspect of what she does is creating loving space for people to discover their individual truths, “I love it!” Kimberly believes in following her heart and states that her influences come from within. They “seem to always bring about the most right circumstances in which to learn, point me in a certain direction, meet a particular person or make a specific phone call.”
During her teenage years Kimberly took part in public speaking engagements where she spoke of truth, love, non-judgment and feeling good. She started several small support groups for kids to better themselves. She attended a university where she studied Microbiology and Anthropology. Later, between 20-30, she chose to honor her spiritual dimensions which led to many learning opportunities. She joined the SLC for Spiritual Living and took classes on Foundations, Self-Mastery, Meditation, and Gifts of Abundance. She studied under a Reiki Master and learned a great deal from ZEN Master, Genpo Merzel Roshi, about meditating with a non-seeking mind and to simply BE. She has mentored in many different programs including People Helping People, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Alateen, and TINT. She currently has a career in corporate business, which has been lavishly successful.
